2 More hits and Derek Jeter officially becomes the greatest New York Yankee of all time. Of my years as a Yankee fan, my favorite player, the only shortstop I knew has reached the top of those who have come before him.
Mickey Mantle, Joe D., Reggie Jackson, and dare I say it, The Babe.
As reports have been saying that Jeter has never been the greatest player in the Majors is very very true. Although Derek Jeter has lived up to be one of the greats and has done so with maturity and playing the game to win.
Don’t let these morons talk to you about Jeter’s age. Remember that he is the man who has brought you 5 world series championships and earned numerous titles as AL Rookie of the Year, World Series MVP, 5 Gold Gloves, 12x All Star, and your captain.
